LEED and Associated Materials
Alside is pleased to have partnered with the U.S. Green Building Council since 2009. Alside can contribute toward prerequisites and/or credits in the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green building certification program.
Generally, these credits come from categories related to energy efficiency, material transparency, daylighting, air quality, and thermal comfort. High-efficiency windows and siding can contribute a significant amount of LEED credits relative to other building materials, especially for homes.
Please note prerequisites and credit opportunities vary by type of project, building type, and version of LEED certification being sought by the project team. Please use the link below to ensure the most recent and appropriate version of the LEED credit language is being consulted. In addition, make sure to consult the LEED credit language to ensure proper documentation is submitted for credit consideration.
